Learn to Swim Instructors: Casual

NCIE welcomes your expression of Interest to work with us as a casual Learn to Swim Instructor.

This role is based with our Fitness Centre team and ensures the provision of high quality teaching to children and adults in accordance with AUSTSWIM and SwimNSW Industry guidelines and NCIE lesson plans. See the full Position Description here.

Casual employment can include scheduled shifts (Mon-Fri 6:00-21:00; Sat 8:00-12:00) and on-call relief coverage. We are currently seeking morning, afternoon and Saturday shift availability.

You will need:
Qualifications: AustSwim certificate of Swimming and Water Safety OR current Swim Australia Teaching certificate, current CPR certificate
• An understanding of risk management and WHS in an Aquatic environment
• Excellent oral communication skills and clear instruction technique
• Experience in program delivery and community engagement via teaching experience
• Excellent customer service and care
• Hold a NSW Working with Children clearance for employment; will consent to a National Police Check
• Ability to communicate effectively and work constructively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of cultures.

Desirable: Current NSW Drivers Licence, current Provide First Aid certificate.
