Head Chef, Conferences

The Head Chef will work closely with the Accommodation & Conference Manager to develop all our hospitality streams, including catering for accommodation and conferences, a new external catering venture, and developing our cafe to achieve its potential. 

This role is an instrumental force in developing the Hospitality activity for an Indigenous social enterprise – a business that delivers social benefit. The role is also important in practical training for NCIE’s Job Ready Hospitality participants to gain requisite skills to seek and secure suitable employment.

Successful applicants will have a strong commitment to delivering client focussed food services, good staff management capability, an interest in Indigenous ingredients and a capacity to work flexibly according to event bookings.

Requirements:
• Certificate III Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Current Food Safety Supervisors certificate

Fulltime, shift work availability is required. 12 month contract term.
