Head down to NCIE and cheer on your Elders at the 2019 Eora Elders Olympics!

They’re on here in Redfern on Monday 16 September from 9am.

The event is putting physical activity front and centre, empowering our Elders to make healthy lifestyle choices.

It’s an opportunity for Elders to connect for a positive cause, to share stories and spend time with family and friends.

Join us in getting behind our Elders as they compete in a day of activities. This is the 5th Eora Elders Olympics and some participants have competed in every year of competition!

Five teams will compete in the Olympics: Kurranulla Aboriginal Corporation, Wyanga Aboriginal Aged Care, Australian Unity, Redfern Aboriginal Medical Service and Guriwal Aboriginal Corporation. The teams will compete in a day of competition with events as varied as Gorri, Pass the Footy, Quoits, Kee’an, Egg & Spoon, and more.

There will be heaps to see and do, including stalls with health resources and a free feed!

NCIE and the 2019 Eora Elders Olympics is completely smoke free.

If you’re interested in making your events smoke-free, contact the Talking About Tobacco Use team – tatu@ncie.org.au.
