400 people came to welcome Patty Mills at the NCIE on Saturday 29 July, making the dreams of many basketball fans come true.

Patty Mills was in town to talk about his newly released children’s book series Game Day,  stories infused with Patty’s pride in his own own Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage. The books inspire our children to have pride in their culture and achieve their goals through sport.

Game Day books sold like hot cakes, children’s smiles brightened everyone’s day, and the basketballs bounced around the NCIE stadium as everyone lined up for autographs and photos.

That’s a wrap for yet another great event put on by the NCIE team, promoting and instilling Indigenous Excellence in our young people and community.
